Belgian Music Days 2018

The very first edition: two days of Belgian music from 1830 until today — classical, jazz and crossover — at LUCA School of Arts, campus Lemmens in Leuven. Student concerts during the day, professional ensembles in the evening, and a listening room for electroacoustic music.

Belgian Music Days te gast bij Boetiek Klassiek op Klara

Boetiek Klassiek, zaterdag 24 februari 15u–18u, met Nicole Van Opstal.

Op 1 en 2 maart opent campus Lemmens (Leuven) zijn deuren voor twee dagen Belgische muziek. ‘Belgian Music Days’ is een organisatie van voornamelijk componistenverenigingen uit Vlaanderen, Brussel en Wallonië. Twee dagen lang kunt u genieten van concerten met Belgische muziek vanaf 1830 tot nu, zowel klassiek, jazz als crossover.

Boetiek Klassiek zet die dag enkel Belgische muziek in de vitrine. Te gast zijn componist en mede-organisator Pieter Schuermans, pianiste Thérèse Malengreau, saxofonist Kurt Bertels (Kugoni Trio) en dirigent Michel Tilkin. Deze laatste dirigeert een verenigd studentenorkest (LUCA Leuven en ARTS² Mons) met een creatie van Luc Van Hove.

Belgian Music Days: do you want to give a concert at this festival? We were searching for student soloists, ensembles and composers — jazz, classical and contemporary music, only Belgian music from 1830 until now, minimum one composition, maximum programme of 40′. Free admission to the festival for students.
